Children & Youth Ministries

Salt + Light Youth Ministry:

Our church takes pride in helping our youth grow into strong, Christian, individuals. The Salt + Light Youth Ministry program aims to guide our youth as Jesus does in the bible, by encouraging them to be the Salt + Light of the world. By being passionate, loyal, and dedicated to God’s word we hope to be the Salt. We seek to teach our youth to be the Light of the world by showing everyone we meet our love, kindness, and generosity in how we treat others and live daily through Jesus’ teachings. Our goal is to be actively involved in our community, by leading and serving in God’s name.

Little Lights Children’s Ministry:

Our Little Light’s Children’s Ministry hopes to do exactly as the Bible says in Proverb 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Through this scripture and mindset we teach our young children the simple foundations to grow spiritually and to be the disciples that God asks us to be. We encourage this growth through serving our community, emotional and spiritual growth, and a desire to work together to change our world to illuminate God’s Light. Our Little Light’s program follows in the footsteps of our older Salt + Light ministry.

Nursery

The nursery is open Sunday mornings 8am – 12 noon. Monday – Friday the nursery is open on an “as needed” basis. If you attend a small group or Bible study during the week and need childcare please contact the church office.

Psalms 127:3 “Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord.”  The nursery ministry is there for your needs and is open to children 5 & under. We offer a fully staffed nursery ministry to give those parents or grand parents a break and the opporutity to worship without having to worry about their kids. Of course children are always welcome in our worship service if parents want to worship as a family, including the occasional distractions, crying outbursts and all. Our nursery is staffed with 2 adults that are CPR trained. They are loving and love to teach and read to the little ones. We are commiteed to keeping our nursery clean and sanitary.

United Methodist Christian School

United Methodist Christian School, in partnership with families, is committed to helping children discover and develop abilities that will shape their future. It is our goal to build a strong Christian character in each child as well as nurture each child’s mind, body and spirit for success throughout life.

In February 2015 the school was re-accredited through the United Methodist Association of Preschools. This accreditation ensures that the preschool promotes high quality Early Childhood Education practices as well as a strong focus on Christian Education. Accredited programs are also awarded the State of Florida Gold Seal Quality Care designation.

United Methodist Men

From Old Testament times to today, men gather to discuss their faith journeys and find meaning, hope and healing. Small group ministry was an essential element of the Wesleyan movement in England and in “the colonies.” Men’s ministry at a local church level was formally endorsed in the 1908 General Conference. With the introduction of the General Commission on United Methodist Men in 1996, we became a separate agency of the UMC. The United Methodist Men’s ministry program is nationally recognized as the largest and most organized in the U.S.

Outreach

Music

The music ministry of Palm Coast United Methodist Church offers opportunities for God’s people to join together in song, in worship and service to our Lord, Jesus Christ.  We invite you to become a part of our music ministry by your participation in one or more of our many musical ensembles. No musical training or knowledge is necessary, simple a heart to make music to the Lord.
