$6000.00, from 7/1/23 to 6/30/24 and $7000.00 from 7/1/24 to 6/30/25

What other costs are involved in being inurned at PCUMC Columbarium and Memorial Garden?

Cost does not include Cremation and other funeral home expenses such as the purchase of an urn, Memorial Service, (Non-Members) Honorarium for Minister, Musicians etc. (Non-Members)

Can I choose the location for the urn or does PCUMC assign the location?

Yes, you choose the location from the inventory of available Niches.

What does the price include for inurnment in PCUMC Columbarium?

Niche for inurned that will accommodate a maximum of two urns. Engraving the Niche face plate with name and life dates of the person whose cremains are inurned, choice of available Niche, opening and closing of the inurnment space and record keeping and maintenance in perpetuity

How do I purchase a Niche?

Submit a written application for the reservation of a niche.

Where are ashes kept if the columbarium has not been completed?

PCUMC will not be used for storage of cremains (urns) while awaiting placement within a cremation Niche. Urn with cremains will be retained by the family until such time as the Columbarium and Memorial Garden is completed.

Can I move the urn and ashes to a different location at a later date?

Movement of the urn within PCUMC Columbarium and Memorial Garden is discouraged, but not forbidden. Removal the urn and cremains for inurnment elsewhere within PCUMC Columbarium Memorial Garden can be arranged; however, there is an administrative fee for this service.

Do I own the Niche?

No. The Niche purchase agreement is only a reservation to use the Niche.

Does the price include a memorial service at PCUMC Columbarium and Memorial Garden?

Yes, for members of PCUMC only

When will payment be due?

Payment will be due with the application for the reservation of a niche.

Are there any financing options?

No. Payment for the Niche must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Who can be inurned in PCUMC Columbarium and Memorial Garden?

Any Minister, past Minister, member, or past member of any United Methodist Church in the Florida Conference and any immediate family member of those previously listed. Members of immediate family shall include; spouse of the member or past member, parents, step-parents, grandparents or step grandparents of the member or past member; children or stepchildren of the member or past member; spouses of children or step-children of the member or past member; and grandchildren or step-grandchildren of any member or past member.

What is inscribed on the Niche Cover?

The person’s or persons’ full name(s) with month, date and year of birth and death.

What is the size of the Niche?

12” wide x 12” high x 16” deep

What size urn is required at PCUMC Columbarium and Memorial Garden?

The urn should be no larger than 11.5” x 11.5” x 8” to allow for 2 urns in the niche.

Can I use a plastic bag or box instead of an urn?

Plastic bags or boxes are not approved containers for the cremated remains at PCUMC Columbarium and Memorial Garden. Only approved non-biodegradable urns are acceptable to be placed in the Niche.

May other items be inured with the cremains or within the Niche?

No. No valuables, trinkets or medals of any kind shall be placed in the Niche.

May I inurn my pet at PCUMC Columbarium and Memorial Garden?

No. PCUMC does not allow pets cremated remains in the Niche.

May I remove ashes from the Columbarium for any reason?

Yes, in the event there has been an inurnment in a Niche and the personal representative or immediate family of the person whose cremains have been inurned wish to permanently remove the cremains from the Niche, they may do so. However, there will not be any reimbursement and there is an administrative removal fee.
